Mrs. Holt was my Girl Scout leader through Brownies, Juniors, and Cadets. I have such fond memories of her taking us to Girl Scout weekend camps, to the Black Hills, and even all throughout Mexico (in a school bus!) for a month in June way back in the 80s. She was a truly remarkable person, mentor, mother, and role model. I knew, even when I was young, that she was a special person, but as an adult, mother, and educator myself, I have a truly profound appreciation for what she gave of herself to others and the impact she had on so many lives.
