Jeannette D. Malone

March 29, 1943 - November 21, 2024

Jeannette Dorothy Malone, 81, of Lincoln passed away November 21, 2024. Born March 29, 1943, in Davenport, NE to Forest and Irene (Astleford) Mountford.

Jeannette worked for the State of Nebraska as an accountant, retiring after 40 years.

Family members include her sons Johnny Malone (Shelli Smith), Malcolm and James (Jennifer) Malone, Lincoln, grandchildren Christopher Malone, Anthony Malone, Jessica Malone, Amanda Evans, Eric Smith, Karisa Malone, Hannah Malone, and Gracey Malone; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dr. Forest Mountford and wife Irene, Dr. Stanley Mountford, Roger and Bill Mountford, infant brother Alan Bruce Mountford.

Funeral service: 11:00 am Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial will be 3:00 pm at Davenport City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, December 2, 2024, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel.
