George and Winnie Roseberry

George and Winnie Roseberry of Lincoln passed away April 25, 2023, and April 7, 2025. George was born on September 26, 1942, in Broken Bow, NE to Milton and Iva (Owen) Roseberry. Winnie was born on December 29, 1941, in Sargent, NE to Lattimer and Cleo (Kennedy) Wood.

George proudly served in the U. S. Navy during the early 60’s. He worked for most of his adult life as a meat department manager for multiple grocery stores in the Lincoln area and finished his working career at Hormel Foods as sales director for the NE/KS region. Winnie retired after a long career with the NE Department of Roads as a secretary.

George and Winnie enjoyed life with their family and friends and were lifetime members of Southview Christian Church.

Family members include their sons Gregg (Val) and Geoff (Kelly) Roseberry of Lincoln; grandchildren Andy Roseberry (Jayson Koch), Nikki Roseberry-Keiser (Jason), Brandon (Destinee) Roseberry, and Alexis Roseberry; great grandchildren Olive and Oakley; sister-in-law Carolyn Roseberry, AZ.

George was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Glenn, Harry, and Bill Roseberry.

Memorial service: 10:30 am Saturday, April 26, 2025, Southview Christian Church, 2040 S. 22nd St.

To the Family of George and Winnie. Am surrounding you with Thoughts and Prayers. I graduated high school with Winnie and my brother Jim, who died of Cancer nine years ago, graduated with George. Special memories of high school and our being in our Wed. night CYF youth group at the First Christian Church in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

Roseberry-Hickman-Gill Families want to extend our Sympathy to Winnie and family. We will miss you at the Family Reunions near Broken Bow and Taylor NE. Doris and Julie have decorated Graves in Broken Bow for years.We will miss George’s laughter also. Love to all. Doris and girls.

Winnie and family, I was so saddened to learn of George’s passing. He always made get togethers so much fun. Just listening to his stories and jokes still brings laughter. I think every single memory I have of him involves laugher. Even through his rough times he could bring smiles to everyone who came in contact with him.
