Paul L. Mussack

August 21, 1931 - February 1, 2022

Paul L. Mussack, 90, of Lincoln, passed away February 1, 2022. Born August 21, 1931, at Decatur, Nebraska to Guy R. and Alice E. (Gray) Mussack.

He attended Decatur Public School, graduated in 1948 as Co-Salutatorian. He attended Midland College – graduating in 1952 with a BA degree, on to graduate school at University of Dubuque, UNO and UNL. During his years at Midland College, he sang tenor with the quartet Knights of Rhythm on radio stations KFAB and KXXX and at resorts in Sun Valley, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Cedar Breaks.

He taught music in public schools for 8 years, then joined Prudential Insurance Co. in the Fremont office as a Special Agent; he was awarded many honors and membership to President’s Club. He advanced and was promoted to Division Manager to the office in Lincoln in 1981. He continued to serve clients as an agent emeritus until complete retirement after 38 years with the company.

Music was Paul’s hobby and love. He was a choir director at several churches, Charter Director of the Fremont Pathfinder Chorus, member of Lincoln Continentals, Lincoln Senior Chorus, and Christian Men’s Chorus in Lincoln.
Paul was a 60+ year member of AF & AM Masons and member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks.

Family includes son, Dr. Steven and daughter-in-law Wanee Mussack of Eugene, OR; daughter Lori Mussack and son-in-law Jeffrey Schoeneck of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren Jaz and Lake Schoeneck, Amber Smith, Jordan Mussack, and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Gordon, son Jamison, sister Eleanor Claussen, and wife Marlene.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday 2.11.22 Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive. Masks are required.
