Gerald E. “Swede” Dockhorn, 92, passed away on April 13, 2021, in Lincoln. Swede was not just good, he was “perfect and getting better.” Hot dogs were his favorite food. He supported the Huskers, win, or lose. His favorite pastime was playing cards. Tending to his tomatoes kept him busy. Family was his pride and joy.
Swede continues to give today. He bequeathed his body for anatomical research many years ago. He also preferred that any memorial gifts be given to support his great-great nephew who was born prematurely and continues to face many health challenges.
