Michael J. Janesch, 70, of Lincoln passed away January 13, 2021. Born in Skokie, Il, January 3, 1951 to Edward and Marie Janesch. Mike graduated from Coe College and completed Grad school at UNL. He recently retired after a long career teaching and coaching for Lincoln Public Schools. He loved football! He played in high school (Maine south), college (Coe) and coached at Raymond Central, Lincoln High school and East High School. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Lincoln, and he was treasurer for the Rudge trust.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane (Janesch); daughters Laura Reed, Ann Janesch; grandchildren Natalie and Balin Reed. Preceded in death by his parents Ed and Marie, sister Linda Smith, and best friend Ty Sigmund.
No services are planned at this time. A memorial service and celebration of life will be planned at a later date when it is safe to meet again.
