Marlene Lou Marx, 82, Lincoln, died surrounded by her family on January 23, 2019. Born January 10, 1937 in Harvard, NE to Marvin and Edna (Hein) Sinner. Graduate of Harvard High School (1954), received her Certificate of Education from Hastings College (1956). Married Donald Marx on August 22, 1956.
Marlene was an active member of First Presbyterian Church serving as Deacon, Elder and served on several boards in the church. She was also a member of PEO Chapter CSDK, Quilters Guild, Extension Club, and Time Out.
Family members include her husband of 62 years Donald; daughters Debra (Mark) Knopik, Adams, Diane (Paul) Devine, West Des Moines, IA and Denise Marx, Lincoln; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday (1-28-19) First Presbyterian Church, 840 South 17th Street with Rev. Sue Coller officiating. Private family interment.
