James “Jim” Robert Sargent, 84, of Lincoln, passed away November 27, 2018 in Omaha. Born August 1, 1934 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Marion W. and Doris Alyce (Sherer) Sargent. U. S. Army Veteran (1957-1963). Graduate of University of Nebraska Lincoln. Retired after 20 years as commercial real estate appraiser for the Lancaster County Assessor.
James was a member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and also a member of Bethany Lions Club.
Family members include his sisters Judy Jewett and Joan (Francis) Fanders, all of Omaha; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (12-7-18) Eastridge Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Drive (10). Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Beatrice at 3:00 p.m.
