Jeanne Louise Akeson, 93, Lincoln passed away November 10, 2018. Born November 18, 1924 in Lincoln, NE to Henry A. and Fannie M. (Austin) Giguere. Ret. draftsman for Nebraska State Department of Roads. Jeanne was a member of Northeast United Church of Christ and Past Matron of Myrtle Chapter #94, O.E.S. She was a volunteer and one of eleven people who brought Habitat for Humanity to Lincoln.
Family members include her son James D. (Jody) Akeson; daughters Lynn M. Akeson and Leslie A. Skala, all of Lincoln; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 15 great great-grandchildren; niece Betty Jean Still, of Loveland, CO; great-nephew Dan Berry, Longmont, CO. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald K. Akeson; sister and brother-in-law Felicie and William Heilig; grandson Greg Akeson and great great-granddaughter Savanna Eva Hydo-Santos.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday (11-15-18) Northeast United Church of Christ, 6200 Adams Street with Pastor Melissa Finlaw- Draper officiating.
