Rolland (Rollie) Lee Victor

Rolland (Rollie) Lee Victor, 87, of Lincoln, passed away March 26, 2018. Born March 16, 1931 in Dixon County, NE to Carl and Freda (Stone) Victor. He was received into the kingdom of God through the sacrament of Holy Baptism on April 5, 1931 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne, NE by Rev. Herman Hoppman and was confirmed on April 2, 1944 by Rev. Walter Brackensick. Rollie served in the United States Air Force 1951-1954. Rolland and Marjorie were united in marriage on March 11, 1956 at First Trinity, Altona, NE. This union was blessed by their children, Mark Victor (Karen) of Wakefield, NE, Myra Voog (Mike) of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Laura Miller (Doug) of Lincoln, NE. Rollie was an ardent student of the Bible and enjoyed teaching young people for many years in Sunday school, high school, and vacation Bible school. Rollie served in many positions on the church council of Grace Lutheran of Wayne, Mt. Olive Lutheran of Lincoln, and Good Shepherd Lutheran of Lincoln, NE.

Rollie served as President of School District #66 and School District #15 of Wayne County, NE. He served as Vice President for seven years and President of National Farmers Organization for 10 years. Rollie served as chairman of the Populist Party of NE, from 1984-1988.

Rollie is survived by his wife Marjorie, their children listed above, their grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin) Dewitt, Chelsey (Dustin) Hinrichsen, Joshua (Tracie) Voog, Zachary (Leah) Voog, Emily (Jared) Hausfeld, Victoria Miller, Trisha Miller, Kylie Miller, and Cody Miller. Great grandchildren, Anthony Dewitt, Cooper Dewitt, Reid Voog, Chloe Voog, Mackenzie Voog, Madeline Voog, Maverick Voog, Ryan Hausfeld, and Mason Hausfeld, sister Donna Seyler, and sister-in-law Ruth Victor.

Rollie was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marjorie Miller, infant sister Virginia, brother Wallace Victor, brother-in-laws Calvin W. Miller and Eldon Seyler.

Rollie enjoyed playing cards and pool with his family, grandkids, great grandkids, and many friends. He was a storyteller with a keen memory and a quick sense of humor.

Funeral Services to be held, 2:30 P.M., Friday, March 30, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Ln., Lincoln, NE 68516.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O’ Street, Lincoln, with family greeting friends during this time.

Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
