Robert R. “Bob” Lane, 76, Lincoln, passed away May 7, 2017. Born August 15, 1940 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Robert J. and Mary (Gerken) Lane. Ret. U. S. Navy Veteran. Graduate of Lincoln Pius X H. S. (1957), All State Golf, Tennis and Football; inductee Lincoln Pius Sports Hall of Fame (golf) 2016. Loved all sports, especially golfing. In his early years, enjoyed water-skiing and being at his cabin on the Fremont Lakes. Bob loved spending time with family and friends.
Family members include his sons, Rod (Lori) and Cory Lane; both of Lincoln; grandchildren, Logan and Hayden; sisters, Patricia Blankenship, Longmont, CO and Marilyn (Lee) Radermacher, Jordan, MN; former wife and special friend, Diane; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Barbara Holden; brother. William Lane.
Memorial Service: 2:30 p.m. Thursday (5-11-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Rod Lane officiating.
Family will greet friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roper and Sons.
