| Parting The Cars (An angel poem) |

The strain of travel was all a part
of the journey for which I had to start.
The journey was to trust and to learn,
He's there for me at every turn.
At first I had real resentment
that I had to go such a distance.
There wasn't a doctor in my town
qualified to treat the disease which was found.
The disease found in my child was so rare,
treatment had to be done with special care.
And so His Angels I asked to guide,
I prayed and prayed please stay at my side.
Whenever I merged onto the interstate
I pleaded "Dear Angels keep us safe."
And I also asked them for something specific
each time we drove back from every trip.
In the back seat was my child who ailed.
On earth I wanted her to stay.
I knew if the Lord could part the Sea
Parting cars for angels would be easy.
So that's just what I would ask them to do,
make way for us now, give us some room
to merge in with all the cars that zoomed.
Each time I asked for such a request
there always was plenty of room for us.
It is absolutely no exageration,
the Lord took care on every occasion
to give us what we needed.
The angels did their part and surely exceeded.
